Scammers and Liars...take money for work, do very little of it and then make excuses as to why they are not completing work...rain, heat, too busy....B.S.

By Keshav P.July 19, 2025Roof repair$2,500
Highly recommend. My parents had a leak in their sunroom for quite sometime. Frank responded to my request immediately and fixed the problem the next day. He even showed up on the next rain day to assure there were no leaks.

JE Construction AKA ER SERVICES. Avoid like the plague . Complete scammers Emily and Tony will take your money and not do the work. The only thing they do well is lie. If you have had dealings with them be sure to let better business bureau and Angie’s list know. In my case I feel it was fraud .

By Jean B.June 20, 2025replace some garage wood planks and a windowRead more
Do yourself a favor and avoid JE Construction like the plague. The owner, Tony Trevino, and his wife, Emily, talked a good game. They came out immediately after I called and gave me a quote. I asked him if he could repair some boards and a window on my garage. He said yes, but hen said he was two weeks behind because of the rain. We signed a contract on 4/9/25 and I gave him a 1,000 deposit.
After four weeks I called him back and asked when he was coming. He promised it would be completed by the end of the 5th week. Week five came and went. No call from him. No text message. I called him again after week 7. He again promised to have it done by the following week. He dropped off a window, some wood boards and ripped off some siding in my garage which left a gaping hole that animals could not come in and out of.
He didn’t even bother to try and block off the hole or even tell me about it. Just left it sitting there wide open.
But once again, he did not show up. He failed to call or even text with an explanation. I contacted him again. He again said by the end of the following week. I asked what specific day. He stated Thursday (6/19/25) at 7:30 a.m. By around 9:00 I texted him and asked if he was still coming. He said around 11:30. It is now 2:45 and he didn’t bother coming.
I texted him and said it was apparent he was failing to fulfill the contract. I asked if he would refund me the deposit.
He said I had the materials there -window that he claimed cost him 350.00. (I found the window at Lowe’s for $209.00 The rest he said was the wood planks.
There is not that much wood. It comes nowhere near to 1,000.00. I asked for the receipt. He still hasn’t sent it to me. Now he claims the total cost for supplies was 504.00. Still he kept the rest of the 1000.00.
This man and his wife, Emily, scammed me. Do not use. You will be sorry. Nothing but empty promises and lies. At first he blamed the more than two month delay on rain. Well, it hasn’t rained every day for two months. Then his final excuse was when he starts a job he stays until it is finished. So I guess his job took more than two months because he never got around to starting mine. What really bothered me was the lack of communication, the ridiculous excuses and the unprofessionalism. He has still not returned the money.
Avoid at all costs if you don’t want to get ripped off.

By James D.May 25, 2025REPAIR AND UPGRADE DECK$9,200
We contacted JE Construction to rebuild our deck. Here are the pros and cons from our experience. Pros: the price was reasonable, the work started quickly, the owner generally answered his phone when called, and the craftmanship was good. Cons: The owner frequently would promise to show up and didn’t; he would not call us to let us know he wasn’t coming, and his excuses were not credible (e.g., he would say he didn’t come because of weather forecasts that were not true). When confronted about this, he would simply make more promises that he again didn’t keep. And as time dragged (for months), he occasionally showed up for an hour or two, and then disappeared. He would always promise to finish the next time he came, but then did not. The worst part was his attitude toward us. He never accepted responsibility for his behavior, and we had to keep pursuing him to finish the job. It was clear that he saw us and treated us as the problem.

Same experience as the other bad reviews on here. I hired this contractor JE Construction in Feb 2024 to build a new deck and canopy after it collapsed due to the heavy snow Jan 2024. At first they were very nice. It took my insurance company 8 months to approve the entire project. It was approved in November 2024. Everytime JE Construction would come to my door they asked for money. I've given them thousands! More than half of the project. Same excuse about the weather or that it took my insurance company forever to approve and it wasn't their fault. Yet they continued to take money. They were supposed to start building as soon as it got approved November 2024. Then came the excuses about the weather but they were still taking money. April comes and same excuse. They would show up for an hour or so do a little bit and leave not to be seen for weeks or months. When I would contact them they would tell me they are coming on so and so day. All no shows and no communication. They had promised to start July 28th building my deck. When I called to verify with Tony he told me they would come later in the morning. I responded that I've been told that before and if they weren't able to do the project I wanted a refund. He then started yelling at me at the top of his lungs of why I was pushing him after all he has done for me and that I still owed $20k after everything was done. He then hangs up on me. How can I possibly owe anything if its been months and I have no deck. Looks like I'm the problem for wanting the job done. Here I am mid August with no deck.
They need to refund my money. This is fraud and breach of contract. The excuse about the weather is old, the excuse about being behind due to weather and that they had other projects is also old. Why take on other projects when mine hasn't been completed yet?
