Justin has the best of intentions when taking on a project, but our remodel must have been just too much for him and his subs to handle. From the very beginning, he was behind the 8-ball. The permit was late due to his electrical and plumbing choices failing to send in their information, inspections were failed on several occasions because he was uninformed on the municipality's codes (which caused at least a 3 week delay in completion of the job) and when the final stretch was in sight he chose not to come back to oversee the work unless we gave him additional funds. Keeping in mind that the last withheld payment amount was not due until the project was FULLY COMPLETE. In the end, those funds were used to pay a new plumber and new electrician to finish the job right (after failing the final inspections.) While Justin seems like a really nice guy who just 'wants to do the right thing' he is not a business person at all - we heard that he failed to pay some of his subs - and he is not capable of managing a larger project than a single bathroom or kitchen. If we had the hindsight needed, we would have hired our own plumbing and electrical trades and had Justin to do only the construction / framing / drywall items required, not manage the other elements as part of the major remodel we did.
