My experience with JRO Contracting was quite a favorable one. As a new homeowner, I did my homework prior to selecting a contractor. From my research, I was able to see that their projects range from small home renovations to complete rebuilds. As far as professionalism and the quality of work, it was paramount!! Prior to doing work in my house, they met with me to discuss the entire process from the inception of the project to completion. There was always a supervisor on hand to answer any questions during the project. Their prices were reasonable and didn't bang me over the head with hidden costs or unforeseen extras. As far as their qualifications, they are fully licensed and insured in Long Beach, Island Park and Nassau County. Their quality of work and their skilled workers put my mind at ease and I never had any reservations they would deliver what they told me they could. My experience was so pleasant and stress free, that I have recommended JRO to my friends and family members.

My experience with JRO Contracting, Inc., basically mirrors the experience from the homeowner that used their services in March 2014. I did my homework and was well informed prior to making my decision to select them. Needless to say, they did an excellent job and were extremely thorough throughout the entire process. They communicated with me at EVERY stage and I would recommend them highly.for either a home renovation or a complete rebuild. Their reputation in my book, as well as many others who have used them, is STELLAR!!

JRO took it upon themselves to do other work before finishing work that was supposed to be complete according to the contract. Has taken more money than required to finish work and claims I owe them money. Still not completed with the work that's supposed to be complete at this point in the contract.

When looking to choose a contractor, I went with JRO because of their honesty and transparency. They took time to go over the estimate they provided me and put me at ease. I wasn't blindsided with any hidden costs.

The 5star reviews are very suspicious. JRO start to build my house in July 2014, and still not 100% done in March 2016.
Claim that I owe money for them!
Doors are leaking, radiant heat pipe was punctured, wind blow in under the baseboards....
Charged extra for EVERYTHING!
Charge $5000 to install the front door and the sliding door (it was installed inside out! And it's leaking) but it was on the blueprint!
Charged $3000 to frame out the fireplaces but those where on the blueprint too!
Wouldn't show up to work for 2-3 months during the winter!
Demand money than Dough O'grady ( the owner/ framer of JRO) said that he run out of our money ( we paid up front) and he need to generate money to finish our house. Lies lies lies.
Never finished. Just took the money.
We had to hire people to finish the house but we still have problems because JRO did such a horrible job.
I had to be at the house for the doors/ tiles etc delivery and pay people to unload the truck!
I had to quit my job to be at the house because Dough O'grady rarely shoved up for 30-45 minutes than he left!
STAY AWAY! They will ruin you financially!
