I would give ZERO STARS if it were possible! Aside from being a terrible contractor, Jason Wallick is an awful human being - he is a disrespectful liar and a thief! I hired Jason Walick's firm - JWall Home Development - to do some renovations in my house. Jason Wallick was the general contractor for several projects in my house (creating a foyer from an existing closet, installing new windows, installing radiant heat in one room, tiling of floor in one room, build out two closets, and install sprayfoam insulation in garage ceiling). Knowing that my wife and I were expecting our first child, Jason said it will take two months to complete. He started in December 2015, but the job is still not done as of the date of this review (8/13/2016). Jason's poor management skills and flat-out lies caused my family to be displaced from our house for 6 months - WITH AN INFANT!!
Right from the start, I should have known something was up because Jason showed up sparingly BY HIMSELF on weeknights (after 5pm) and sometimes on weekends. Every single aspect of my renovation went wrong leading to MAJOR delays and headaches on a daily basis.
From the start, Jason ordered the wrong windows, and wasn't even in the house when they just showed up. Jason didn't even bother to request a refund or a store credit for the wrong windows - he just ordered new ones on my credit card. I had to spend hours with the supplier (when Jason was nowhere to be found) to fix the problem, order the right materials, and to get my money back. To add insult to injury, the internal/external trims on some of the windows are not yet complete, and the custom hardware for my windows are nowhere to be found.
Under Jason's supervision, it took the tile person 3 weeks to tile a single room, and then a couple of more weeks to finally make sure the tiles are mostly smooth and aligned (some tiles are still uneven). The job was initially left with sharp edges, and I remind you that I have an infant.
Jason said he would give me a quote for a plumber. That never happened, but I had to wait several weeks until Jason finally told me that he can't find someone. I had to subcontract the job my myself - which I am thankful for - but three weeks were wasted.
As the job went on, Jason left rubble in my back yard and on my front lawn. I repeatedly asked that the garbage be removed, but Jason ignored my request such that I received numerous complaints from my new neighbors before I even moved into my house. As of today, I have a pile of cement and tile rubble sitting in my garage that Jason refuses to remove.
The best (meaning worst) part was when Jason promised the job would be done by the time my wife and I got back from vacation (mid-April). Upon our return, we opened the door to find Jason's messy tools all over the house, and NOTHING was done. The house was in the exact same condition as before was before we went on vacation.
What's worse is that the things that Jason did do are falling apart. I wish I never hired JWall Home Development, and I wish I never met Jason Wallick - he is a bad person. I understand that delays in contractng work happen all the time, but this was different. Jason is a bogus contractor, and shady piece of you-know-what that wasted my time and money.
