Underwhelming...
This is the one word to describe our experience with KLG Construction. We called them for a remodeling project for our first home. We gave them a clear plan and when we wanted to be moved in by.
The job site was constantly left messy, nothing was covered during the knock out of our wall (cabinets still have dust all over them). We were asked to increase the amount of the bid twice, once because he "forgot" to add demo for tile and again for hauling way materials that were included in the demo.
On the project, WE completed a couple of the tasks ourselves, per the instructions of the owner of KLG, only to be met with him asking for more money at the end of the project.
Once "complete" there was paint on newly tiled floor where all the baseboards was installed. We were asked to purchase new baseboard in the middle of the project (additional cost) with the understanding it could be painted BEFORE installing it on the newly tiled floor, but it was not. Spent nearly 5 hours using a razor to remove most of the paint from new tile.
After all this, we found a problem that our dishwasher was not receiving hot water, which was moved by KLG so the floor could be tiled. Owner came back out (after being prompted twice), to look it over, decided "It was originally installed that way" and said it would be extra for him to fix.
All in all: Late, Messy, and loves to nickle and dime you. Will not be using again.
