    We had Kaplan renovate our apartment. The plumbing and electrical work they completed had to be redone. They replaced the bathtub without venting. An extension cord was used in an interior wall. The list goes on but you get the point.

    Extremely professional and polite. I needed the work done in a very short time frame and they worked with me to schedule the work as soon as possible. They stayed until I was 100% satisfied with the work. I plan to call them again to do additional trim work for me. They did a very good job, they were clean, polite and professional. I was very happy with the outcome.

    Worst experience of my life. A four month contracted renovation took Kaplan one year and a half to complete. And they would never have completed the job if I did not threaten lawsuits and if the building did not start imposing fines. Everything they did had to be redone. The shower floor was not sloped and water puddled. The shower doors were leaking water. The AC units were improperly installed and had to be redone by an outside contractor for approximately $8000. External windows are doors were not installed according to the architectural plans and now I am at risk of flooding. Materials he said he would provide he was unable to provide--the windows and doors--and I had to scramble to provide them. He sent teenage Polish boys who just arrived from Poland to do the work. I had to leave my job and take over the contracting of the renovation. I threatened law suits and had the building super call him and my architect call him to try to get him on the job. It was the worst experience of my life and I would not wish this on anyone. He scratched up all my floors too.

    I worked with these guys twice- the first time I thought their work was outstanding although they disappeared at the end of the project when there were about two days of detailing to finish- but I liked their work so much I hired them a second time - that was my downfall. They strung me along for months - sending one person a day for several weeks- enough to make me feel like work was happening - then they disappeared again - not before collecting $$ for work that was never done - the quality was so bad I've had to rip out most of it and start again - they left me with an open construction site - wires hanging nothing completed - installed an exterior door that is leaking - and collected money for this work- my fault for having paid them but I trusted them - my mistake- don't make the same one.
