    I hired Kerby Beggs specifically to demolish and replace the sidewalk in front of my home in Brooklyn, NY to correct a DOT sidewalk violation. I paid him for the job, and then had the city inspect his work, so that the violation could be removed.

    The sidewalk FAILED the inspection, because Kerby FAILED to put "expansion joints" along the property lines, and along the curb (these allow for expansion and contraction of concrete through the seasons).

    When I asked him to come fix his error, he refused, claiming that I ASKED him to omit the expansion joints!

    Even if that were true (which makes no sense, why would any non-contractor even know about them, much less have an opinion on them) but even if I did ask, if he knew this would cause me to FAIL inspection, which is the reason I hired him in the first place...WOULDN'T HE WARN ME THAT THAT WOULD CAUSE ME TO FAIL INSPECTION??

    So now I have to go to court with the people who bought the house from me who are suing me for thousands of dollars to address the condition Kerby Beggs created.

    AVOID HIM. HE IS DISHONEST.
