In 2015 I had Filip Lech over to do an estimate on a renovation but decided to go with a friend instead. When I texted him this week to look at a bathroom that needed work, he texted me back to ask me if I met him already. I said yes but.... this situation is different from what he looked at in 2015. Filip then said he did not want to work with me because in his words he "does not want to repair shoddy work". He never once bothered to ask me who did the work or whether or not it was related to the 2015 renovation. In truth this work was done in 2016.
Regardless, it was a very poor answer from him. I honestly believe Filip was insulted I did not hire him to begin with. And seriously, what else does a contractor do besides renovate a house which is a "repair" in itself???
This guy gave the impression he is a very petty person and speaks volumes of the type of person you would deal with if you hire him and have to deal with him. At the very least, he's a person who believes himself to be so busy that he comes up with a lame excuse why he cannot work on a project. I have an MBA and I could tell you he most definitely would NOT be a good business partner.
