    Dormered house, kitchen, 3 baths
    $200,000

We had our house completely remodeled and expanded. We chose to use Fernando Albuquerque and his team of qualified workers after seeing a friends neighbors house beautifully renovated by Fernando. I personally wanted a contractor that was hands on, not a contractor that just stopped by to check on his workers. Fred always showed up on time, was courteous, trustworthy and respectful of our property. He helped us turn our house into a beautiful new home. He had excellent ideas and his craftmanship goes above and beyond. He paid extremely close attention to the minor details, which makes a huge difference at the end of a project. I would highly recommend Fernando Albuquerque and Legacy Structures.

    second floor addition

Choosing the right general contractor for your job is a bit overwhelming as there are many to choose from. I am so glad that I chose Legacy Structures, LLC to do the second floor addition on my home several years ago. They came highly recommended to me from friends in the area. I figured the best recommendations come from word of mouth referrals. From the initial contact with the owner of the company, Fernando Albuquerque, he made me feel that he was truly listening to my desires and made sure to explain all possible options and limitations that could lie ahead. I appreciated the small company feel and I didn’t feel lost in the process. They were trustworthy, courteous and hardworking group of craftsman. I was ecstatic with the finished work product and would highly recommend them to family and friends.

Fernando was an active advocate for our project, not just responding to our inquiries and concerns, but demanding that Legacy’s sub-contractors meet his expectations. In our experience, building contractors often have the attitude that if the customer does not complain there is no problem, even when there is a problem. Fernando’s proactive style of management was a breath of fresh air. Additionally, Fernando made suggestions that improved the look and energy efficiency of our home.

Choosing Legacy Structures has been the single best decision we have made during the search for a reliable General Contractor! Fernando and his team contacted me immediately upon my request and performed even better than promised. We even paid his company a performance bonus for getting the project in on time and under cost! I highly recommend Legacy Structures for anyone looking to designing and construct a residential or commercial property of their dreams, whether large or small. Mr. Fernando and his team have a work ethic and talent that are unsurpassed, and they bring a dedicated effort to the table with no downside whatsoever!

Hired the owner Fernando for a major extension to our home. Paid him almost $400,000.00
We allocated almost $40,000 to our slate roof. He tarred the roof (cheap) instead of the correct way copper (expensive). He already had our money as the job was done, and wasn't going to do anything, until we got the engineer involved who we had introduced him to, and who was now feeding Fernando referrals. 4 years later our upstairs bathroom started leaking through downstairs into our kitchen ceiling. We gave up on Fernando as he has no integrity and we had it fixed. Then our basement started leaking, and we found out that the foundation guy didn't grade the backyard properly, as the grade was towards the house not away. We had to excavate the backyard and build walls around the basement window wells at a cost of thousands. Again we didn't make claim against Fernando.

Now water has come crashing through our dining room from the upstairs master bathroom which Fernando built. We had a plumber come in and he says that it is not a plumbing issue, but a tile issue. The tile is not flush to the floor and the water is going into the long openings created, and around the shower pan. We now have to tear apart the entire shower, as there is a yellowish dislocation at the base of the floor, and probably mold inside. Also the dining room is all messed up and obviously wet inside the ceiling.

We called Fernando for this. At first he said he will come by to look, and then, sent us an email (not even a phone call) saying it was done long ago (7 years), and he changed the name of his corporation (from Westville Contracting, LLC to Legacy Structures, LLC) and that he isn'tt responsible.

Having spent almost $400,000 with him to extend our house, and build out our basement foundation (flooded), our bathrooms (both leaked), I don't think tis is how it should go.

Fernando is a crook! No integrity or honor to live up to his work.
    BEWARE!

I will sue him, but may have problems because the contract is with the old corporation. he tile guyFernando used didn't do the job properly, as the there is an opening at the base of the floor
