  Cut trees

  I am not fond of writing any reviews let alone bad review but I am willing to make an exception for this joke of a company. I contacted Leo through home adviser. He called me up about an hour after going through the home adviser questions. We set up an appointment for 5:30, at 6:00 I left the house, seen later he tried to call at 6:20. 50 minutes late? When I got home I seen a quote saying one tree for a certain price. Never discussed which tree or the tree location on the phone.

  So the next day I gave him the benefit of the doubt and called him back. He said he will be right there, sounds like he is around the corner, so you assume 5-10 minutes right? Nearly an hour later he shows up. After a few minutes of looking over the tree and what I would like to be done. He gives me what seems like a fair price. We discussed that he could come either Tomorrow(Friday) or Saturday. I said what time would he come because I have work in the mornings. he says probably early like 8:30AM.

  I ended up asking him to write up the quote and ill get back to him ASAP. He offered to text me the price and job details. Very professional, huh? Anyways. With in less then 5 minutes of thinking about it. And due to the time frame offered I texted him back with the go ahead. Lets do Saturday. He responded and acknowledged with OK.

  Saturday comes around. Around 7:30 I go to my next door neighbor and ask them to move there car so Leo can get his trucks in place and there would be no hiccups in the set up. Around 9AM I texted Leo to see if maybe something came up and to just get an updated timeline. No response. Interesting must be sleeping in.
  10:00 AM Tried to call. Nothing, voice box full.
  11:00 Text and call
  about each hour or so tried this. till around 2:00PM. All with no response then my father see's Leo's card on the table, and tries to call, what a big shock, he answers the phone??? Seriously. Ignore me all morning, then is clearly there?

  Wasted a perfectly good Saturday of overtime at work over this guy. Avoid him at all cost. There are dozens if not hundreds of tree guys out there in our area. Again I hate to give any reviews. but this was an experience I thought I would never experience going through homeadvisor.com.

  They damaged our new gutter while cutting down our neighbors trees on our property and left without letting me know. He camouflaged it so I didn’t notice it until the gutter people returned to install leaf guards. I called him twice to pay for the $200 repair and never called me back! See you in small claims court Leo! Unnecessary nonsense!!!!

  I was not going to leave a review but after leaving a voice message as well as a text and getting no answer from Leo I felt the need to. I had Leo come over and give me an estimate for trimming my trees as well as cutting down all the dead branches. Leo and I spent 15 minutes looking at my trees and him telling me what he will do. He gave me a price and I said fine, I did not ask for a lower price.

  On Sunday 8/13 his crew showed up but with no Leo. Carlos the site manager did most of the work, while the other three guys just watched and eventually cleaned up after him. For what he did, he seemed to do very well but when I told him I expected more of the branches cut back, he seemed to be annoyed saying that would cost more money. (He was not there when Leo and I talked about the job) When I told him Leo said the price included all dead branches as well as removing branches hanging over the house and driveway he very reluctantly went back up and cut down two more branches . It seemed the crew was tired, I was the last job of the day and they just wanted to get home. All this could have been cleared up if Leo came to the job to supervise his workers.

  Besides not getting the service I was told, his trucks leaked fluid all over the front of my home and driveway. Carlos also drove the cherry picker truck into my backyard, which was fine but the truck leaked oil or hydraulic fluid all over my lawn.

  In the past week I have called Leo three times and left two texts, he has not returned my calls or texts. I will have to chalk this up to getting taken advantage of from a crooked contractor. If Leo ever calls or follows up with me I will amend this review
