  Maidi Decorating and Remodeling of Glen Cove NY Owner is Ben Maidi Is a person who tells you how much experience he has in all phases of Home Improvements and that his company also is very experienced in both Commercial and Residential roofing. He will show you pictures of the work that he has done and tell you about his experience and how he will do all to make sure you're happy and will not leave the project till all of the punch lists are completed.
  Started very badly from the first day when he ripped the roof off my house and had no dumpster to dispose of the roofing materials dumping all in my yard and driveway. Nails all over my property and driveway he said he would have a magnet to get all nails-NEVER happened-still finding nails all over the property. The day he started it was predicting rain and sure enough when I question why he would not plan a day that would be better (like he said he watches the weather reports and plans with 2 good days to get job done-He will tell you what he wants you to believe prior to getting your money)
  It rained heavy the day he ripped the roof off and even with a tarp on the roof I have water stains all over the ceilings. Also, nails are protruding in my ceiling bedroom -living room and many locations-Once confronted he said that no way that he caused any problems.
  The Agreement was to do the main roof only and nothing on the porch roof ( that was just done last June) I was out of the house on a Friday when I came back home late evening I did not notice (I did in am) but the porch roof was ripped off. When I asked him why did you do that since is not part of the agreement his reply "It was not done right and I thought you would hold me responsible so I did it for additional $1,750.00" When I told him no way should he have taken that upon himself without talking to me then he said OK I will discount it to $1,400.00. Things just kept getting worst on all he was to do.
  I just had a roof inspection done after his work and I being told that all was done incorrectly starting with the nailing of the shingles with nails 1/4 inch too short and the nail gun not being correctly set to nail shingle so that the first 3 nails are below shingles and the fourth nail is not even flush to the shingle. What that means that any strong wind storm could cause the whole roof to be lifted off the house. Based on all the problems they found the recommendation is to rip the roof and install all new materials as required by code and manufacturer.
  He will tell you to have a blessed day all the time but he is no man of God. No man who professes to be a religious man would do what he did.
  He is a Crook and a Liar. Please spread the word do not let people like this take advantage of consumers.
  FYI he also goes by other names Huntington Painter he is also not licensed in Nassau County
  and his documents show a license number that is not valid (he is licensed in Suffolk only since last year)
