Had a gas dryer to move in but no gas outlet in laundry, but knew it was at least in ceiling. Got quotes from a big co. Much higher & they would have not run the line in the wall, but outside the drywall.
He came out & quote for this & work on water heater also was less than the others.
When he was doing it, he discovered the gas line was in the wall--just hadn't been brought out to hook up. When he saw that, he commented that it was going to save me $. How many would have been honest enough to lower the price for that?
& then when moving washer & dryer in, handymen said there was water leak that required a plumber. Called him. He came & stopped the leak no charge--just tightened it up I think. But I asked how long it would last & he said about a year so decided to get it really fixed. He gave me a quote but said a handy man could do it.
He also cleaned up after himself & was very courteous.
