Avoid this company. Had some of the same problems as others below. Quoted one estimated price and phone and then charged us more; installed part that wasn't broken without asking us (later saying it was worn out) and charged us for it; said they would apply charge for coming out to assess problem to cost of fixing it, and then tried to charge us for the service charge anyway; did not respond to repeated attempts to discuss the issues above. Go elsewhere.

By Anna A.April 18, 2024Install a new overhead Garage door$2,300
I ordered a new Garage door thru Minneapolis Overhead Garage doors, LLC Located at 8878 Wentworth Ave S Bloomington 55420.
The door was not installed properly, is raining and water gets inside; the door is damaged, the panels are bend. I submitted pictures to a person name Stevan Sanderson [email protected] I told him my concern and didn't reply to me. So, I called and another person answers. I told him about the door, and he keep saying ma'am, ma'am.... Like I was some type of stupid. And said I will get back to you. -

Multiple issues with this company. In addition to not showing up when scheduled, they did not properly install our garage doors. When trying to schedule someone to come out and finish the install, it was difficult to get a person on the phone. When we did get someone on the phone they said it would be a $30 service call to inspect why the door they installed will not shut. Run in the other direction from this company.

By Colleen S.August 25, 2023replace garage door opener
On one of the hottest days of the year Benjamin from Minneapolis Overhead Garage Door had to install my new opener, Ralls and rollers. He did a fantastic job, was very professional, fast, courteous and nice. It was unbelievably hot in the garage, and he just did his job. I would definitely recommend him in the future.

By Jennifer C.June 30, 2023Fix garage door$1,300
Do not use this company! They were supposed to replace a broken spring on our garage door and quoted us a price over the phone of $300-$400 for the spring plus labor. They came when we were gone and our 21 year old son was here to pay them with a credit card we left him (they wouldn’t bill us). They ended up upselling our son for a total cost of $1300, much of it unnecessary and not requested, but our son was talked into it. When we called to complain, their excuse was that they were given permission to do the work. We now have no recourse since we paid the bill already. Not happy at all.

Worst service I have ever received. This company evident purchased the phone number of the folks we previously used (likely out of business, but they took good care of us in the past). Not realizing they were a different outfit, we had them come out for service when a torsion spring broke. My wife and I were out of town and they advantage of this by getting my mother in law to approve a new garage door opener, which would be fine except they charged $700 for the cheapest opener you can obtain and told her it was a comparable replacement for the very nice one we had previously. We had now lost battery backup, garage entry sensor, etc. and paid many times the reasonable cost, even with installation time. Three weeks later, the whole opener - which was likely underpowered, twisted itself into oblivion. This caused the door to hang up 4/5 of the way open and I backed into the bottom of the door, not being able to see it hadn't opened all the way. They refused to do anything except install a new door at cost, but I can't trust them and refused. We are now out $1700 for the original work and have $4000 in expenses for a new door and opener.
