Permits
- Building permit records show that Mladenovic, Radisa has worked on 19 permitted projects.
Mladenovic Construction was contracted to do a gut renovation of our brownstone for a very significant fee.Throughout the process they made mistakes because they were unable to read the architect's drawings. Sometimes they were able to correct those errors, but it wasted time and money.
However, the most appalling issue is that they requested a partial early payment toward the end of the contract. We agreed to pay part of it. The day that we paid it, they allowed the work permits to expire, and over the next month they sent fewer workers before abruptly leaving the work incomplete. In addition to significant amounts of work throughout the house that was not finished, they also left the parlor floor badly mis-leveled, even though this was part of the work scope, and that they redid the floors down to the studs, making the error completely inexcusable.
We had to spend six months hiring other contractors to complete the work. In addition, we had to pay the electrician the balance, even though we had already paid the GC for the work. Similarly we had to hire and pay another plumber to complete the work, even though we had paid the GC for this work.
These guys are basically crooks.
