We hired Moreno Construction and Design LLC, in March 2025 to build a detached two-car garage - a simple pole barn. The owner, Jeramey Moreno, was initially responsive, but after the contract was signed and we paid a $20,000 deposit, there were consistent issues with communication and project delays. From blatant lies about the status of our permits to failure to identify utility lines in our yard, the issues dragged on for nearly 50 days with no work done. We decided to take legal action and terminate our contract in late June. To this date, he has not returned any portion of our $20,000 deposit, has taken no ownership for anything related to this project, and has refused to take responsibility for his failure to complete the work in a timely fashion.
If you're considering hiring him, think twice. If you sign a contract, expect delays, no communication, lies, and no chance of getting your money back despite clear contract violations.
