  I hired Norbart Construction of Mars, PA to build an Avis home for me in Slippery Rock, PA. In my opinion, I would never recommend this company to anyone. I had to take them to court to try to get reimbursed for money they were paid, per signed contracts, for work that they just never completed. I was successful in getting about $500 back of the several thousand dollars that I have had to spend, since 2005, for repairs to their work. I have had to have insulation installed and the siding reapplied, as the building was not wrapped and the siding was coming off of the building. I have had to have the deck reinforced and brought up to code. The deck was not even set in concrete or bolted to the building and it is constructed with nails, not screws. I have had to have repairs done to the roof including having leaking and incorrectly installed gutters replaced. They did not hook the well to the plumbing, when building the home. This was done at my expense. The clothes dryer vent pipe was simply laying in the attic instead of being vented out of the building. This home is 7 years old and all of that work had to be done/corrected. IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE!! I was really taken advantage of!!!! I have filed complaints with the BBB of western PA which only stay on file for 3 years. Please beware of this company. I have documentation to support every one of the problems that I have had. I also signed a contract, and paid money, to have a tree removed from the creek in front of my dock. This work was just never done. How stupid I was to give these people a dime in good faith. I also really regret not having a building inspection done, before releasing the final escrow check to them for this house. I have really learned the hard way. Please beware of this company.
