    Fence repair new gate

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I hired Marc Osborne for basic minor outdoor fencing repairs. My boyfriend showed him step by step exactly what we wanted done. Unfortunately my boyfriend was out of town when Marc finished up. I trusted him paid him in cash when my boyfriend returned he was furious couldn’t believe how little and lousy Marc skills are as a contractor. We had him return he promised to fix the repairs he said he forgot about and the falling apart new gate he just built. After many text messages he responded to busy and wasn’t happy he was criticized for his incompetence. I feel ripped off never again will I trust a contractor and pay him in full prior to finishing the job. I got screwed very bitter especially since he got a job from a neighbor. I’m hoping his job went okay. Marc has skills of a handyman not a licensed contractor and he charges rates for quality skills he lacks.

    Outside patio gutter work
    $less than $1000
    1 day

We just had some outside work done - to get to know this contractor, and he was ontime, reliable, did an excellent job, better than we thought it could be, asked for a quote for a larger project we have, and got a professional one, covering all bases. He may not be the cheapest, but we've seen cheapest, and don't want the shortcuts that come with cheapest. He is the most reasonable, professional and thorough. He knows his building codes, so do we. We've had past experience with e.g., big box store contractors, who supposedly have to go through rigorous corporate checks, and in our experience are complete and total mess-ups who often don't know building code, or if they do, take illegal shortcuts that need to be fixed by someone who knows what they are doing. In other words, we're going with Osborne to fix Big Box contractor messes.

    Home renovations

Will do anything to cut costs

We had Marc Osborne perform renovations on our house. We used him because he said he would beat any estimate. Of course with times being tough we used him to save money. It was until later that we learned he did not take out the necessary permits required for our renovations. This made us look up his license and we discovered that he was listed as no employees which means you don't have to take out workers comp insurance. When he worked on our house he had two other men working for him. We realized now why our estimate was so cheap. Osborne Construction avoids paying permit fees and workers comp along with other employer fees. This is not an honest contractor and we worry what else did he do to cut costs.

They were very professional and knowledgeable. They remodeled our bathroom and did a excellent job, and do all the work themselves. They weren't the cheapest estimate that we had but glad we went with them they made the process enjoyable and were there on time everyday and didn't leave the job until it was complete. I would definitely refer them to anyone looking to have work done on there house.
