    Build new ADU in Fountain Valley

    I established communication and signed contract with Peter Do March 2021. The timeline is below.
    To sum up my experience with this contractor... No communication, poor planning and schedule management, no coordination, terrible management skills, lacks transparency, and no experience with grading and Over-excavation work. Good luck.

    3/17 - Contract signed

    3/22 - I gave $1k deposit, watering and digging prep started. Peter gave me a timeline (I wrote on the contract), watering and prep work on 3/22, dig alert come to mark on 3/23, start digging on 3/24.

    3/23 - no communication, I called after 830am & he said everything is ready nothing else to be done. A worker come right away, started the sprinklers and left it on to flood my property when I got home at 7pm. I wasted 2 hours cleaning the mess.

    3/24 - no one show up, I walk to the driveway and saw trash left behind by the workers, spreading into my neighbors yard that I had to clean up. I had to call after start time, 830am, and he said permit issues with equipment rentals, will start digging on 3/25. Portable bathroom arrived that I was not notified of, I called him since portal portie couldn't be placed where he wanted. Worker left it curbside and I spent an hour figuring out where to go move it to meet min distance from curb for cleaning. Peter was clueless and had no communication.

    3/25 - I texted him after 830am, no response, during my lunch break I had to call, he responded 'workers not there? I'll check and call you back.' he went silent.

    3/26 - I had to call after 830am, I found out that digging is subcontracted and he cannot manage the schedule and the subcontractor, he asked to start Monday.

    3/27 - not a word to prepare for digging, no communication

    3/28 - not a word to prepare for digging, no communication, no I proceed with canceling the contract.

    Contractor breached the contract by failing to perform on 3 times, failed to perform to the contract and timeline. He violated the contract by delaying and not performing; wasted my valuable time, delayed my project by over 2 weeks, and I've been very nice through not requesting compensation for my time, losses, project delays and only ask for my full deposit refunded.

    I no had trust in his work, communication, planning & and coordination, and management of workers & subcontractors to complete the project and fulfill the contract timely.
