Three years ago, we utilized Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling to completely remodel our master bedroom suite. Although the work eventually was done to our satisfaction, my wife Carol and I are very dissatisfied with their performance. The company originally promised that the job would be completed in four months, but in fact it took one year to complete! There was a great deal of turnover in personnel, particularly at the Project Manager level, the estimate was not accurate in that we were not apprised initially of what to expect as far as the costs of finish work were concerned. Also, it was often both difficult and time-consuming to obtain responses from the company when we expressed concerns about workmanship and timeliness of performance, the engineering company they hired to do the initial engineering study failed to consider an applicable city ordinance, with the result that the plans had to be redone, causing delay, workmanship was often shoddy and had to be redone. In essence, we would give a low rating to this company. The only positive is that they were ultimately willing to remedy defects in performance with the result that we got the outcome we wanted all along.
