Unfortunately I did not have the pleasant experience Ed L. and Mbelknap had. His $135.00 for less than 5 minutes work was not justification for the work he did. My plumbing problem returned almost immediately and another plumber had to be called to fix the problem. I wrote Mr. Wesselman but he did not reply to my message concerning this matter. Thus this review. As a fellow parishioner at St.Timothy's Parish in LAGUNA NIGUEL, I was very disappointed in responding to the ad he had placed in the church bulletin. WLP.

By Ed L.December 21, 2016New water heater, change a stop valve$6001 day
I have only used Paul three times , he is refreshingly honest, very fair pricing , and he smells good to. I have used 5 different plumbers in the last 15 years or so and not one of them was as fair as Paul. He also got me out of a jam just last week when I tried to change a stop valve myself and could not fix it. My wife was not to happy when I told her the water might be off a day or so if Paul can't get here until the next day, Paul was here in an hour, no extra charge for rushing here.

I've used Paul about 6 times over 10 years. I didn't even met him for the first few times!! He came and fixed a problem outside while I wasn't home and left a bill and then I mailed a check in! He's a great guy, thoughtful, methodical, efficient and reasonable priced. Nice to have that 'old fashioned' trust and service. Highly recommend.

The water heater went. I called my regular HVAC guy and he recommended Laguna Niguel Plumbing, the Wesselmans. Price turned out to be higher than normal. $2,200 for a Bradford White model URG150T6n retailing at $799. I paid $1,400 for less than 1.5 hours of labor. Yup, they took advantage of my situation. Now, for raping a person you might expect a few courtesies. Did not make a point to go over the new water heater, I had to ask them. They did not take an extra 2 minutes to wash out the catch pan under the heater. Hose was 10 ft from them in the garage (standard in SC). They dropped the new heater into the muck left from the old heater leaking rusk and gunk. Did not put the heater back in the same place, causing the drainpipe to extend 1ft into the room. Couldn’t bother to trim catch pan drainpipe so it was not protruding. The son could have this done that as dad wrote things up and I wrote a check. Apparently, his phone was more engaging than customer satisfaction. I should have called others, but I was on my way out for work when I saw the water on the floor. I should have checked their work more carefully before they left but I was working my day job at the time they were here. I guess I had expected my HVAC guy to recommend someone who would do as good of a job as he. Summary: If you want to pay top dollar, clean up after the heating unit failure and must fix their piping work… I think they are the plumber for you. If you want someone you can trust, go elsewhere.
