    Kitchen remodel

    Preferred Builders rescued our kitchen from a botched restoration job by another contractor who will remain nameless since they are under investigation by the CSLB as I write this review. Preferred is the only company we will go to for future projects because of their integrity.
    We had had flooding in January of this year, and called a restoration company to come and remove the water and moldy drywall from 4 rooms. We decided to go with the construction end of the same company, thinking we could trust their work. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
    After 6 weeks of the owner refusing to come and look at the sloppy work that was done on the granite fabrication, we terminated our contract with them and started to look around for another company. We walked into a local kitchen design center and were referred to Preferred Builders. From the moment we sat down in their office, to the last day of detail work and touch ups, their professionalism and excellent work ethic shone through. They removed the poorly installed granite and damaged (brand new stainless steel ) farmhouse sink, installed the new sink, properly installed the granite counter top and window sill, back splash, appliances and lighting. Everything looks so beautiful. They maintain a culture of excellence from the crew and subcontractors: everyone seems to take great pride in their craftsmanship. We especially want to note Ran and Arianna for their incredible care, warmth and professionalism. I don't think they realize how they actually ministered to us through the whole difficult process.
    We had been treated so poorly by the previous company. Not only had they botched the granite and damaged our new sink, but they improperly built and installed cabinets, forgot to fabricate the window sill, damaged the fronts of two drawers, and put a big gash in the front of our dishwasher. Then to top it off, they scheduled, rescheduled, and cancelled appointments with us for 6 weeks. For six weeks nothing was accomplished and we were left with a half done botched kitchen.
    It's very difficult for a company to come in and make things right. The quality work done by Preferred Builders under the supervision of Arianna and Ran helped to erase the bad experience we had with the previous company.
    Two days after the job was completed, we received an Edible Bouquet of delicious fruit with a lovely note from Arianna and Preferred Builders, thanking us! Now that's class!
