Would NOT recommend Jose Corpeno , owner of Presidential design Contractor Inc. Work is substandard. He was hired to complete our small bathroom .The little amount of work he accomplished in 2 days was that of a novice do it yourselfer at best. It became quite clear he was not experienced in plumbing . Came to job totally unprepared and did not even have the correct tools to remodel a bathroom. He had to borrow my pipe wrenches, pliers, level and used my wood and screws to do subfloor. Did not know building codes and to find out he was installing inferior copper pipes instead of industry standard for a bathroom. He left job several times to go to Home Depot and the last time he left my front door wide open for any intruder to come in. Mr. Corpeno does not have the knowledge or skill set of a professional contractor. I now have to redo and replace whatever was done.

The experience was terrible the guy Jose Corpeno who is the owner of this business is extremely unprofessional and doesn't show up to delegate to his bunch of illegal workers, he does it by phone, and their so Inap that I have to tell them that's not what I had told Jose we wanted. So when I called to let him know that's what we have discussed a couple of days ago. This went on for three months and there's a lot of things that need to be fixed because his illegal workers only listen to what he tells them to do and most of the time they don't do things the way he explains it over the phone. He hardly shows up in the morning, and if he does it's only half an hour and he leaves he always have an emergency, also hes a constant liar, he has yet showed up to fix what need to be done.

DO NOT HIRE THIS PERSON!!
The contractor's name is Jose Corpeno. This guy is a total hack and has no business doing any work in people's houses. He was only at my house for 2 1/2 days (for a bathroom remodel) before walking off and taking $1,800 from me. In that time he removed part of the floor and started the plumbing. I am so glad he left when he did, he would have destroyed my house. He barely did any work, but whatever he did I had to fix or replace it.
Here is a list issues:
- He does not have the knowledge or skill-set of a professional contractor. He is a sloppy do-it-yourselfer, at best.
- He was only there for 2 1/2 days before walking off the job and only accomplished one or two items from the lengthy work list (he agreed to) and took $1,775. He did not leave all the materials purchased, many of the items he took back with him.
- He did not bring the necessary tools required to remodel a bathroom, he borrowed many hand tools (pipe wrenches, pliers, speedsquare, level) and used my own screws and wood for support braces.
- He did not bring a saw to cut the drain hole, so he literally cut a 6” hole for the shower pan drain with a 1/2” drill bit, he made 30 small holes in a circle and punched through it. I had a jigsaw in the next room.
- He installed the toilet drain crooked, which had to be completely removed and replaced with a new drain.
- Sand paper was found in the drain pipe twice, once during the job and it was pointed it out, second time was during the replacement of the botched drain attempt, there was more found in the elbow.
- He installed the drain for the sink too low, which also had to be replaced.
- He only soldered 2 joints but managed to light the wood on fire multiple times because he didn't bring a spray bottle or heat shield.
- He did not know the plumbing codes and did use any drop-ear elbows.
- He mostly used the thin cheap copper pipe (Type M) instead of the industry standard (Type L). All the Type M copper had to be replaced.
- He did not cover the open drain lines in the stack, which allowed hazardous gases to enter the home, which I discovered after he left each day.
- He went to Home Depot one day and left my front door wide open for anyone to walk in.
- He was very messy and did not clean up after himself. I caught them stepping in a pile of waste pipe debris and then tracking it around the house, even after I told him to clean it up earlier that day.
*IN SUMMARY, THIS GUY WILL WRECK YOUR HOUSE!
