Rightway construction should change their name to WrongWay construction. They began demolition and construction of our condo complex patio walls without required permits.
The bid for the project was the lowest and therefore accepted by my HOA, The bid was low because it omitted required permits and costs for architectural plans. Permits were ultimately obtained only after homeowners brought the construction to the attention of the City of Lake Forest. The work stopped for two months. At which time my patio had already been demolitioned and scaffolding was left up causing a hazard.
The work has since been completed at my building. The work is sloppy. Gates have been put on backwards. Patio walls uneven. Workers leave debris behind and use owners electricity for power tools. If you do accept a bid from this company make sure the bid encompasses all required permits and that you do not pay them in one lump sum as the work done is so inferior that you will require them to go back and make necessary corrections. The construction has stopped on at least two occasions. Once construction was stopped by the city for lack of permits and once because building material was on back order.
Do not make the mistake my HOA did by hiring RightWay construction. The cheapest bid is not always the best and with all the change orders and permit costs the true bid for this job would have been much higher. They bait and switched us. Don't let this happen to you!
