    Vidal Raymon "Ray" Sanchez (owner and sole proprietor of Ferreira Construction) ROBBED us of $22,914.

    After a lot of back and forth and on 3/22/18, Ferreira Construction (Vidal Raymon Sanchez) came to my house and we executed a written contract to do a high-end remodel my kitchen in San Ramon CA, for the contracted amount of $40,000.  

    He began work on 3/23/18 and abandoned the project after only ripping out our exterior stucco (and exposing our house to the elements) preparing for a window replacement.  He has been compensated, as per his fraudulent prescribed payment schedule, $1000.00 (down payment, check #1427, 3/22/18), $20,000 (check #329 on 3/29/18 for ordering our custom cabinets) and $1,914 for an update/amendment to the cabinet design (check #1430 on 3/30/18).  

    On approximately 3/28/18 via phone, he agreed to start our job on 5/15.  He never showed up on 5/15.  Never called.  I called him and he gave me an excuse that he was out of town due to a death in the family.  He said he'd be back and contact me on Sunday 5/20, in order to finally start on Monday 5/21.  Monday has passed and he has not contacted me.  He is not responding to texts, voice mail messages or emails.  Instead, we check Yelp (reviews that were not there when we first retained him) only to find others who are in a similar predicament with him!  Apparently, for months, he has been giving others the same excuses about deaths in the family or sickness as to why he can't show up to work.

    As of this morning 5/22, the cabinet company named in our bid (and we worked together with Ray to build the designs/quotes) says he never placed our cabinet order with them! The order was supposed to be placed the first week of April! OMG, proof positive that he basically lied from the beginning and simply stole our money!  

    This guy acted like the consummate professional...seemed like a super nice guy.  We discussed how important this job was, how long we have been saving/waiting to do this job, how we were taking a chance with him because we thought we liked what we saw/felt in him.  He promised he'd do a great job and would do right by us. He talked about how this job would help him take his business to a new level in the east bay and improve his portfolio.

    5/24/18 - Got an email from Mr. Sanchez, stating he can no longer continue with my job and that he no longer has the $22,914 that I paid him!  He claims he's "not well" and is going away for 8 months...but promises "to do right by me" upon his return.  UNBELIEVABLE.

    RAY, YOU CRUSHED MY WIFE'S DREAM OF A NEW KITCHEN...YOU VIOLATED OUR TRUST AND STOLE OUR MONEY! HOW CAN YOU LIVE WITH YOURSELF?!? YOU ARE A LYING, CONNIVING, UNETHICAL CRIMINAL!! THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!!
