I have never seen work so poorly done. They could not or would not provide License or Insurance documents.
__THE STOOP__
Rapid replaced my stoop with a simple set of PT steps and small landing. No footings were used. Did not lag the ledgerboard to the house. Framed the steps using 25" on center for stringers. Used pre-cut stringers that they further cut into and used shims to try and level the steps. Nailing technique appears to be random and incomplete. Damaged new siding in 3 places around the stoop. 6 weeks have passed and the stoop is collapsing.
__REAR ENTRY STEEL DOOR__
Rapid miss-aligned the door and light shows around 3 sides when closed. Put shims behind the hinges (OMG!). Destroyed weather seal. Door is tilted in the frame. Cannot lock door unless it's left partially ajar. Damaged new siding in 1 places around the door.
__INTERIOR FIRE DOOR__
Rapid used a steel door with 2 knockouts. The construction manager said the second hole was for a required deadbolt for fire suppression. note: interior deadbolts are illegal in the USA. Weather stripping on this interior door rubs on the tile. Rapid's construction manager said it was because the floor tile was too high. (I swear I'm not making this up!)
__PAINTING WITH NO DROP CLOTHS__
Caulking AND paint on new carpet (2 areas). Paint on new bamboo flooring (6 areas) Paint on new door handles (2). A lot of Paint on new hinges (8). No primer used on raw pine... grain heavily bleeding through.
__JUST WHY__
Rapid took it upon themselves to use my shed to store materials and equipment. I had to store my possessions under tarps in the yard. They damaged the shed to the point where the doors no longer function.
During a day of debris removal, Rapid mistook my night riding motorcycle goggles for safety glasses and threw them away.
Rapid scratched the heck out of my patio table when they used it as a workbench to cut angle steel. They left steel slivers all over my patio and in the grass.
