I absolutely would not recommend this man to anybody. I did not hire him, the man I hired gave the job to Mr. Runyon. The job was a room addition and house extension. Here are a few of the major wrongs that Mr. Runyon did.
!. One of the walls was put in the wrong place, making the bedroom smaller and the hallway outside of the bedroom wider than the plans called for.
2. The closet door opening in this bedroom was too tall, making the closet doors hang too high above the floor. To remedy this, Mr. Runyon added blocks of wood and then an ugly metal strip to hide the blocks of wood.
3. Mr. Runyon installed a non-functioning phone jack in the new master bedroom. He did this because the plans did not specifically say there should be a phone jack added. (There was a phone jack in the old master bedroom that needed to be relocated because of the wall extension. Mr. Runyon simply wanted to remove it rather than relocate it)
4. When installing the new roof, Mr. Runyon did not use enough nails to secure the shingles. He only used three per shingle, when he should have used a minimum of five. (I live in a high-wind area) And, he nailed the shingles too high. This and the number of nails used caused my roof shingles to blow off. This was verified by three different roofing contractors I contacted about repairing my roof. I wish I could upload pictures of the terrible work Mr. Runyon did.
