  Stay away from this company. We signed a contract for a certain amount and ended up paying 2k over because they lied about permit pricing and facia costs. They started the job ripping off the old roof, and when they finished for the day, we realized that removed all our gutters. And threw them away. I asked them why, they said it's in our contract and we always do that. There was nothing in our contract. They lied over and over. After ripping of old roof, they did not cover the roof with a tarp, and now we have interior damage from the rain. Very uncommuncative company, as they never told us when they were going to show up.

  I went to contract with the listed roofing company (safeguard Roofing of Pompano beach) in August of this year (2017). They did not start the work until October 7th of this year, I don't know why it took them that long to start the job.The contract from the finance company stated that the job needs to done by October 31st, but the safeguard did not start the job until October 7th. Why did it take 2 months to even start my roof? Then i come to find out that Safeguard Roofing asked for an extension without notifying me about the request. On that day their workers plugged two big generators into my outside house outlets "WITHOUT" my permission and caused major damage to a lot of my appliances. When i went out there to tell them what they did, nobody understood what i was say, and there was no supervisor on scene. When the supervisor came back i told him and showed him what happened and he told me I need to get an electrician, but they caused the problem. I called the owner of the busy and he told me the same thing I need to get an electrician to fix the problem. I asked the owner for the name of his insurance company he refused to give it to me. He stated that this can be resolved between him and I. So I paid out of pocket for the repairs and submitted the invoices to him, this was in early November and i still have not received a reimbursement check ($1775.00) from him. I could not even cook for Thanksgiving because I had no appliances due to the negligence of there workers. After receiving the invoices the owner wrote up an addendum to the original contract for $613.00 for a new permit, I asked what is this addendum for? until this date he can not explain what the new permit is for. I asked why wasn't this put into the original contract we signed in August. The owner then tells me that my tile isn't available, now this is the tile that i picked out at the signing of the contract in August. I keep getting emails/texts from the company stating that i am not getting reimbursed until the roof is completed, this was not a agreement between owner and I. The owner kept telling me get me the invoices so we can get this problem resolved. I finance the project so the money for the new roof is between him the fiance company not me. I was advised that when a roofing contract is pulled it is good for 180 days, I am nowhere near the end of that contract. He then threatened to put lien on my house if I do not sign the addendum. I contacted the finance company they had no knowledge of the addendum contract. The owner has not and never contacted the finance company about the addendum contract. I did notify the BBB and filed a complaint with them about the company and they have knowledge of the complaint. Safeguard Roofing has not responded to the BBB. Safeguard Roofing is insisting that I retract the compliant too. This issued has caused me a lot of stress and worry about a lien being placed on my home for no reason. Safeguard Roofing has a poor record with communicating with the consumer. The negligence falls on Safeguard Roofing,
