    Bathroom Remodel
    $5,500

    Bathroom remodel was a disaster. Poor communication, poor workmanship. His plumbing was bad and caused a major water leak. He tried to fix, but left leaving the downspout crooked. Refused to fix. He did drywall repair from the leak and cut outlet holes too big, bad texture. Refuses any responsibility. Would never hire again for anything. Dishonest and overall horrible experience.

    Soft story seismic retrofit
    $15,000

    My experience was bad. Schenkman took a seismic retrofit job. After three inspections by the structural engineer, nothing changed. In fact, the actual licensed contractor hardly showed up, didn’t schedule inspections, and complained.

    My tenants garages were tied up. I had no alternative to hiring a new contractor who handled things professionally and efficiently. With Schenkman, Getting a small repayment, about 25%, was like pulling teeth.
