We hired Frank to redo our kitchen floors and install a cabinet. Frank delayed our job multiple times over several weeks. Sometimes we didn't find out about the delay until we called him the day before. It was very inconvenient because we'd done a lot to prepare for the work and had materials piled around. The grout was sloppily done with holes and hairline cracks all over. He was very rushed at the end and permanently damaged a beautiful handmade cabinet. He made several other careless mistakes on simple tasks, like scratching our wood floor by roughly dragging appliances and forgetting the placement of an appliance that led to pipes not fitting as they should have.

I had the chance to meet Frank, the owner of SIMPLE SOLUTIONS through Tony our super. Frank is a great guy, very dependable and honest. I and my wife are very happy with the outcome of our 2 apartments that he renovated and combined for us. Great work. Carlos

I’ve worked with Frank Mrizaj (Simple Solutions) twice—once in 2015 for my apartment in Astoria, and again in 2023–2024 for my home in Manhattan. Unfortunately, my overall experiences were extremely disappointing.
Frank juggles multiple projects at once, and as a result, his crew was unreliable and often absent for days at a time. The work progressed very slowly and the quality was often sloppy. Even more concerning, his staff caused damage to my next-door neighbor’s apartment, and rather than taking responsibility, Frank made me pay for the repairs. Despite repeated follow-ups, he also left promised tasks unfinished—like a bedroom closet door that never closed properly, something he personally acknowledged but failed to resolve.
After months of unreturned messages and broken promises, I tried one last time to reach him, and he responded by calling me and yelling—completely unprofessional behavior.
I do not recommend working with Frank. I strongly encourage others to consider more reliable, respectful professionals who take accountability for their work. There are many other problems I experienced that I haven’t covered here for the sake of brevity—but they further reinforce my decision to no longer work with Frank.
