We hired Doug for a large addition project that was to start in March 2023 and Doug estimated it would take 6 months to complete. Most of the project was complete by January 2024, but there is a long list of things that were not completed, such as adding gutters, adding interior doors, completing the sealing for the front door, adding hardware for pocket doors, completing cement for the front yard, adding exterior lights, fixing tile that was damaged while they were performing other work, completing a railing for a loft space required for the project to get final approval. Nine months later all this work remains uncompleted and Doug has now stopped responding to emails or phone calls. The last we heard from his office, his assistant sent us invoices for work completed over a year prior that were not part of the contract and that we had never seen before. Doug is a super nice guy as are the people who work for him, but we are now left with an unfinished project and no sign off from the city and he has ghosted us.
