We hired Troy to gut and remodel our guest bathroom. Everything was going OK until it came time to tile. First, his cutting machine broke and he insisted on cutting tiles by hand? And then when he tiled the bath, he made a mess of the tile and the bathroom. He had a teenager in the house scraping the grout off of the faces of our subway tiles with a putty knife. Then, he spilled rusty liquid all over the freshly tiled floor, which of course left a stain, which he then had said teenager using chemical liquid to clean. Why didn't he protect the floor? No clue. To make matters worse, he damaged the new tub he installed and tried to "patch it up" with white paste. Long story short, we paid $6000 for the job and now have to pay another contractor an additional $3700 to redo the tile work and fix everything else that was done poorly.
