Hello, I had called Mark Smith about a leaky roof. Phoned him and texted him several times before he came out to my house. While on my property he got up on the roof, looked around and saw no damage. Inspecting by my front window he noticed cracks in wood trim. He did caulk those as he thought water was entering there.
My beef with Smith is this, he NEVER told me what his SERVICE FEE was. I did not ask but other contractors put this info out front.
So, after Smith was at my house about 40 minutes, my wife and I asked what his fee was. $200 was his reply!
If I had known he was going to sock us $200 just for a service call, I would not have had him come by.
So, by him being at my house and yes he did do a few things, I feel as if I was taken.
Smith had EVERY opportunity to let me know what his fee was BEFORE coming out, that’s why I would not hire him again, and if you do speak to him about a job, ask him what his fees are, because he dose not willingly tell you up front either via Text or phone! An oversight on his part? I think not.
