Doug Magee of Torrance Construction has perpetrated a huge fraud on my unsuspecting family. While building a pool (with another company) we wanted to also build an 85 foot deck on our property in Encino, CA. We met Doug and, in hindsight, his intention was to start the job but never finish. A year and a half later the initial job for the deck we contracted is only about 20% done. Other work we added and paid deposits on never even started. Doug also stole $23,000 for material he never installed or delivered and he is in possession of a generator we bought for $2000 and after months and months he has refused to install it.
Our family values and respects the people we work with and getting mixed up with Doug Magee has been a huge nightmare. Doug Magee has put a huge amount of financial burden and anxiety on our growing family. His actions are that of a man who has no regard for others. He is not only a coward, but a con man. Potential customers and employees, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
