  Screwed up my simple patio and then after I complained he said he would take $100 of the $700 I still owed him. Said he would be back in a few days to remove the forms and finish the job. That was a month ago. I only gave the second star because by him not coming back I got a crappy patio for half price.

  Absolutely terrible! Work takes forever to complete because his workers have no direction. Vinny is nowhere to be found. Once work is finally completed after weeks and weeks of stress and begging to come back, there are so many imperfections! Please please stay away!!! Wish I did my research first!

  Hardscape project

  VDG Inc was the best company we've had the pleasure to work with, and we've worked with several GC's through the years. Now, we'll only use VDG for all our future projects because they are immensely better when compared to typical GCs who seem to have BS factors embedded into their work habits. VDG is a professional outfit from top to bottom who delivers exceptional work at very fair pricing. Vinny (owner) and his crew are superbly talented and cut no corners, and I'm the type of person who heavily researches what our projects entail. They just completed a 2200 sq ft paver project around three sides of our house and nailed it! Perfect drainage pitching and dry wells throughout, pvc piping for in-ground sprinklers, beautiful bluestone porch and natural stone upgrade onto our foundation walls, and the end result was perfect. They have the power equipment, trucks, manpower, talent, and love for what they do to get the job done right. We had estimated this project with 5 companies and chose VDG because they went the extra mile to spend all the time we needed day of estimating, answered every one of our follow up phone calls, and later drove us around to several houses he worked on (where we went back to speak with the homeowners who all raved about him). During our project, which they knocked out in a week with a big crew, my family members told me Vinny was on site every day, worked alongside his crew at times to ensure everything executed perfectly, and came back every night to give me updates. This was the first time in my life I was not stressed about having someone work on my house when I wasn't there. That's how good they were. Most importantly, Vinny is an old-school soul with contemporary talent who lives on and keeps his word. He's honest and good to his core, and those values resonate throughout his company. I greatly appreciate it when I get to interact with amazing people like him and his crew because that's getting harder and harder to find in this crazy me-first world we live in these days. We highly recommend you hire VDG. You'll be happy with the outcome. After the IGS project, we're going to save up so he can renovate the entire lower level of our house.

  Very attentive until we paid half the money for sod. Once the sod arrived he left it on my driveway for 5 days and had the audacity to lay it out. It looked like and still looks like $h!T. Half the grass is still burned and is not recoverable. Then he has the nerve to tell me he underpriced us.. not our fault he isn't good in math. Countless texts and voicemails have been unanswered. We did pay him for the entire job which was our fault. He has not kept his word about Satisfaction guaranteed

  This business, owner and operations have been unresponsive, unprofessional and have not committed to completion of the masonry job in which started. The owner/contractor named Vinny was super responsive until a contract was signed and a down payment was received. A job he informed would take from a few days to a week now continues after one month. When the job crew show up, they are different workers each time and need direction on what to do which has led to repeated errors requiring work to be redone. They appear for a few hours and then tell us they need to go to other jobs. There has been electrical damage in the garage and water damage in the basement due to open dirt on the foundation that was left unfinished and undone as part of the work. The sidewalk concrete has been removed and portions of it remain that way without being cordoned off and is a safety hazard. Many more issues, too many to itemize.

  Poor business management, poor project management and leadership. Repeated calls and texts to the owner have gone unanswered and he had to be cornered when at the job site to provide answers to questions. We have literally given up asking about a timeline and clarity on several issues.

  We understand there being several days of rain will delay this job but the bottom line is that this business mission statement is to keep accepting jobs and then work on the larger ones that provide the most money. There is no attention to detail after payments have been made. We have been patient in not being allowed to use the sidewalk, garage or front of the house for a month. Not to mention the neighbors complaining to me and the town about the safety hazards, dirt and debris that litters the street and adjacent yards. This has been unrelenting.

  Steer clear, you get what you pay for.
