This company replaced my mom's roofing and siding in 2015. They were going door to door soliciting business. Said they could take care of everything by submitting a claim to her insurance for weather related damages, Everything appeared to look good. Fast forward to present time. We started getting water in the basement that was coming down the walls whenever it rained. We went and looked at the siding and noticed that it was completely soaked underneath. I called another company to give an estimate to fix the problem. He removed a few pieces of siding and found that they didn't use any Tyvek, the siding was never tucked under the gutters, and there was no J channel installed. The shingles barely overlapped the gutters. All of the insulation needs to come out and the nails are so rusted underneath that you can pull them out with your fingers. There's a possibility of mold underneath and the plywood or fiberboard may need replacing as well. All total, the cost to repair their inadequate job will be between 3 and 5 thousand dollars. My parents were better off before this company replaced everything

Vertex came to my home and did a description of work for repairing my vinyl flooring and also to repair a leak in the stairwell going downstairs which was submitted to my insurance company. They sent a check to me and vertex in the amount of $4500. I signed the check over to vertex construction. James the owner sent workmen the next week. They said they would find a replacement. It is now July and they have not found a replacement. I've called James and Steve approximately 30 times since April. James did not return any of my calls! Steve returned some calls and said James was ill; he's on vacation, etc. Steve works for James! 3 weeks ago I finally spoke to James who said he's going to replace the whole floor and we set a tentative date of 13 July! He has not called me or answered any of my calls. I'm trying to see what can be done to get the job done or refund the money he was paid!
