We are about 3/4 done with our job [kitchen plus some walls getting knocked down, some floors getting sanded and stained, etc.]. Archetype has been good in coordinating all of the work and the papers needed to get things done in this city. They have been responsive and helpful in making choices and suggestions.

Does nice work. They are mid- to high-market in that you would want them to work on a >$300K job, and wouldn't bother with them for a smaller job. They can do just the plans (which would be less than $300K, obviously, or manage the whole effort.

I found the principal, Alan to be very arrogant even when we discovered they were errors in our architectural plan, and when we confronted him he got very defensive which we didn't like. But to be fair, his firm did get the things done before the deadline even though it was tight. I think the problem is he pushes too much work to the junior staff who just don't have the experience been a few years out of college and he didn't spend enough time supervising them on complicated projects.
