I contracted with Vinco Roofing on December 26, 2011 for a complete tear off and re-roof of my home. I gave him a $4000 deposit with which he purchased $2500 in materials and rented a 10 yd bin. He gave me a start date and then stopped answering the phone for 3 days. He then called back and again gave a start date but did not show or answer calls. This happened 4 times within a month. I went to my building and permit division in my township only to find out he had never applied for a permit and although he advertises as a licensed contractor, Michigan has no record of him being licensed. I have had shingles on my roof and a bin in my driveway for a month and had not heard from Vincent Cooper since January 31, 2012. He finally text us on February 21st only to say if I return the $2500 in materials to him, he would then return us the $4000 deposit. He ended the call by saying sue him. This contractor will take your money and stop all communication with you. BEWARE!!

Mr. Vincent just took 3k from my mother, he was supposed to remodel her kitchen this was in April. We haven't heard from him since that check cleared. Can you please tell me how you handle your issue and what was the result?
