very nice man, but really couldn't call him a "finished/ skilled carpenter", he did an area under my deck, which he very badly finished , he put wood against dirt but never primed it, there wasn't too many straight edges and lots of spaces between joints. Very few straight cuts.. he has no sense of design.. so it was more just get it done mentality. I asked for 3/4 ply but he told me T1 11 ( a one sided plastic shed siding) would be better, (maybe it was cheaper, for him) but it seems it has a chipboard backing, which I don't think will last too long under the steps of the deck.
